Does anyone know of any good CAD modelling apps on Google Play?

Not just a CAD viewer, I need a CAD modelling app

You mean something that will run on a Chrome device, or Android device?

@Fishy Chrome Apps can run on both Android and iOS using a toolchain based on Apache Cordova. This is Google's way to encourage developers to write non-native apps, designed to take advantage of some (if not most) native device features, without having to write a native app.

Google has been evangelizing this for about 8-9 years. I also tried another Google platform, to write code once, and run on everything (iOS, Windows, Web, Android). It did not work very well.

Not sure how you plan on using a CAD app on your phone. I tend to use double screens when dealing with CAD like apps.

@Northwest the chrome os thing sounds awesome,

But I just looked it up and it looks like they discontinued it in 2022 :c

@Fishy That's a bummer, but not too surprising. All Apple has to do, is change one or two things in their API, and the thing will no longer work, and Apple has never been very cooperative, part of the reason I stopped writing "common" code apps, using Google's tools 4 years ago.

Good use for Tablets....with Phones is a pain in the ass.

Unfortunately I don't use anything coming from Google Playstore.

What are you modeling in particular? I always used blender myself but I use it to make Sims stuff. I have also used DAZ in the past but I don't like it being so... Cloudish anymore.

@Renaci I just want something to tinker with spur of moment..
I want to brush up on my vertex and curve modelling skills...

There's apps like Nomad which is awesome, but that's more of a sculpting thing, not a vertex modelling thing.

I wanna play around with making hard surfaces 😅

blender is awesome, but I don't think you can get it on android, no?

@Fishy Oooo. Creating on Android is def new territory for me. My stronger hardware tends to be windows or even Linux based. Android I tend to use for consuming content rather than making it. Lol
If you find new stuff though I want to know toooooo! I love new software to explore. Lol
