I'm so socially awkward when it comes to relationships and flirting unless I'm intoxicated, so I usually end up saying cheesy upfront flirty lines followed by an apology for trying to be smooth and an awkward silence :')

Socially awkward and cheesy works for some people. Just be you Booboo.
As long as you don't offer to bear anyone's children or lick their face the first time you meet them, you should probably be ok.

P.S. If you smile the whole time you're being weird maybe they'll think you're actually joking ;)
