Is it safe to say that photo filters help deceive people's looks?

My best buddy has been dating this chick online for over 2 months. They finally decided to meet up, oh boy! The person on the picture looked nothing like her, her natural skin colour is a beautiful brown and she manage to whiten it with filters. She's actually twice the size of the person in the photo. She gave herself a photoshop surgery. He was so sad because he fell for her quirky personality but the whole appearance made him felt betrayed.

[c=#BF0080]Ehhh I use filters sometimes.. my glasses in my avatar is a filter and I have a cappuccino lighting filter but it doesn't change my looks all that much.. BUT I'm not here to date either. There's one person on here who has seen unfiltered, raw pics that can confirm that lol. I think if people are on dating sites then they probably should use pics that are accurate to what they look like.. I would consider that deceiving for sure.[/c]

You're right. If it's not for dating like in your case here, nobody blames you for not showing your real photo. But that guy has been deceived and hurt because of that. He's already fell for that girl.
@meemo70: [c=#BF0080]Lmao.. this IS my real photo. Only my glasses and brownish tint are filters... but yeah I know what you mean.[/c]
