PS: I also have a body hair limit to my dates as well!

I would think it would be highly positive to date someone who did not live in the hive. You might even obtain attention now and then.
These days it’s easy to see that the most anticipated stimulus and the one most immediately obeyed is the notification alert.

Hotels keep landlines in the rooms for folks like us
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
Absolutely. I didn't get a cell phone until 2017 which was pretty late compared to most people. I think it would be refreshing.
ArishMell · 70-79, M
Well, somehow people managed to meet before even the exploitative Premium-Rate telephone dating services, let alone the Internet.
Magenta · F
Yes! I could!
I grew up without cell phones or social media.

I'd worry if you ever became signal 😬

Why the world would have to adapt to me? 😁😁😁 I'm special
WillaKissing · 61-69, M
@HumanEarth Oh, yeah you are! LOL
HumanEarth · F
You two just wait till you see my next post. I know you two will laugh
WillaKissing · 61-69, M
I prefer when dating to ignore my cell phone. When on a date I silence my phone and expect my date to do the same. If her phone text and calls are more important to her than our date, then the date ends right there, and I take her back home and leave her there to text away as she pleases.

Right on brother
Jexie · 26-30, F
Um no, I think you have to move with the times and it's just an idealistic thought to want things to stay the same as when you were growing up. It shows immaturity. Most people are commenting saying it'd be fine because they're the older generations who are not that used to technology. That's not to say that limiting being online is not a good thing because excess is bad, but having a mental block where you're like I'm not gonna use cellphones at all shows a lack of willingness to accept things and integrate in society.
Magenta · F
@Jexie Well personally I use technology every day, because I have to for my business . I use a cell phone too because it is quite handy for some things.
But that doesn't mean I like it! I rebel against it and find it all tiring and exhausting. All the processes one has to go through now due to so many scammers. It has made life more complicated and I've lived in both worlds. Doesn't have anything to do with being stuck or immature.

Only if you could put up with ME! A cell phone is certainly NOT a deal breaker. But if you eat crackers in bed....that's it we are done.
🤣
🤣

@Magenta Some how though time we stopped doing that and I miss it. And yet I say we start doing that again. Then I look at the kitchen and the mess it would make and go fuck that shit.
Again I can only blame myself for getting lazy

@bowman81 Oh I still make bread a lot, just not every damn day like my mother did
PDXNative1986 · 36-40, MVIP
Oh totally. Texting kinda sucks. Prefer phone calls anyway.
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
I don't mind them bringing their cell phone because you never know if someone's going to have an emergency call.
However if I'm trying to have a conversation with them and they're on their phone the whole time then there won't be no second date.

that's not the question, what if dont carry or own a cellphone as part of their normal life?
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
@HumanEarth sorry, that's their choice wouldn't make a difference
TheWanderingMind · 41-45, MNew
You would have to suffer of me acting out memes and gifs and videos in person since I can't text it. Lol
HumanEarth · F
That just sounds like fun
DrWatson · 70-79, M
Interesting Freudian slip: while talking about cellphones you typed "signal" for "single!" 🙂
But my wife has only an old flip phone that she uses for voice calls only. She does not text.
