Why is it so difficult for adults to date

Ive been a widow since 2021. Ive ventured on to the assorted dating apps. They offer plenty of lonely people looking for momentary pieces of physical involvement, but that's about it. Idk how to meet people (men) who are interested in the same things i am interested in. Maybe there aren't any? Or maybe they're already attached? Idk

It’s a process and takes time to know each other. In this days of instant gratification, many don’t want to invest time and efforts it needed. Then it’s uncertainty about what they want. Sometimes many bad experiences makes hard to trust others.
But there are some real people who do like to find good friend, companion and partner. Just needs patience to find and meet one.
