Why is it so difficult for adults to date

Ive been a widow since 2021. Ive ventured on to the assorted dating apps. They offer plenty of lonely people looking for momentary pieces of physical involvement, but that's about it. Idk how to meet people (men) who are interested in the same things i am interested in. Maybe there aren't any? Or maybe they're already attached? Idk

A lot of the available single men have low self esteem and/or are afraid of women, or have lost the love of their life.

It also may be that you are being too picky or don't come across as approachable. Or, you may be too beautiful and men don't think they'd have a chance.
