I've heard people have met through here and actually ended up married which happens, but it doesn't mean everyone should go around using this like a dating app.

That being said, I met my RL partner on Facebook, lol. Do you. 🤷🏾 Whatever works, works. Sometimes it just happens that way.

Talking about my experience, I'll never date someone from here irl because I'm married.

However, I'm trying to have a SW marriage like people were doing on EP, just for giggles and to make the experience a bit more... exciting I guess.
It was fun to have an EP spouse, and I want to keep the tradition alive on SW too.

So far, I haven't been very lucky: my ex-SW husband left me and the current one just went on hiatus.
Ha ha, I'm so unlucky with these things too!

I actually find slice of life kind of places like this is more conducive to finding a genuine partner.

On dating sites everyone is trying to present a heavily curated version of themselves that is not really genuine.

I often bring up rotary telephones, black & white television sets, vacuum tube radios, playing marbles on playground, and even talked about Chatty Cathy dolls that came out in the late 1950s

It’s definitely not a dating site but people will use basically any platform for flirting/dating/hooking up etc..

Funny thing is I know someone in real life that met there gf on Reddit 😆

No of course it doesn’t mean that. A workplace isn’t a blind date but some coworkers date each other. It just means this places main intention is other rather than dating.
