I don't know how much of an issue this actually is in real life, but I hear people online complaining that women will demand that a man be at least 6'2" and have abs for days, and then complain when a man has a weight requirement.

Quite frankly, I don't blame men at all for that. Women in general I've noticed, have simply let themselves 'go' and it isn't unusual anymore to see women usually heavy at very young ages.

Very true! It's all about diet and attitude though. When I was a responsible kid and then turned into an irresponsible teenager, sugar and fat-laden foods were never brought into our house and we learned as kids to read labels on food products before buying them. If the product contained high values of sugar, trans fats or salt, we put it back on the shelf.

@swirlie God, those food manufacturers are awful with the sugar. It's insane the things you wouldn't think are high in sugar that are.

@LordShadowfire
There is now sugar in every food item that comes from a processing plant. During Covid, the price of sugar in Canada for a 5 pound bag of white refined sugar, was 99 cents. The price is now about $1.50 for the same bag. What this tells me is that sugar processors are having a hard time getting rid of their sugar cane crops, so they almost give it away in stores or they dump it into every food item you can buy, even if that item is not suppose to be sweet.

@swirlie we are literally being sold poison in our food
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@swirlie I'll tell you the other reason why. Sugar is addictive. It alters your brain chemistry to make you want more. So if they put a ton of sugar in an otherwise crap food item, you'll want more of it.

@LordShadowfire don’t worry , our pharma industry will keep you alive w pills . Keep you consuming. It’s all by design

Very true! And I don't eat anything that has sugar in it, which means I eat a lot of homemade stuff I make from scratch, most of which is vegetable based.

@LordShadowfire
That's very true! I've also been reading where vegetable oil is being replaced with Palm Oil which looks the same but is highly addictive. They now use Palm oil at McDonalds for example, when cooking hamburgers.

And remember, kiddies, it's much more profitable to treat a disease than cure it. That's why there's no cure for diabetes yet.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@LordShadowfire you get it. Even though our food is making us all type 1 diabetics
