When a girl can hang out alone with her friend thats a boy and is straight but if the guy hangs out alone with a friend thats a girl, he's automatically cheating.
HumanEarth · F
Imagine a couple out for dinner. The woman shares a heartfelt story about her day, complete with all the emotional highs and lows. As she speaks, she gesticulates dramatically, her eyes wide with passion.
Meanwhile, the man sits across from her, nodding, but when asked how his day was, he simply shrugs and mutters, "It was fine."
The scene plays out like this:
Her: "I had the craziest day at work! My project was a total disaster, but then my coworker helped me turn it around, and I felt so grateful! What about you?"
Him: stoic face, one eyebrow raised "It was fine."
Her: leaning in eagerly "Are you sure? Was there anything interesting?"
Him: shrugs "Not really. Just stuff."
Later, when they recount the date to friends:
Her: "He barely said anything! How can you get to know someone like that?"
Friends: nodding, rolling their eyes "Classic! Mysterious types. It’s so intriguing!”
Meanwhile, if she were the one who replied with just "It was fine," she'd be labeled as "emotionally unavailable." The contrast reveals how men are often applauded for their air of mystery, while women are expected to share their feelings openly!
This highlights the humor in how the expectations around communication create such different reactions based solely on gender.

What is that again? That word dating sounds familiar. 120 years ago, I used to date. Not, now a days. It's for young guys like you. Enjoy yourself.
FloorGenAdm · 51-55, M
Men are called cheaters right off the bat, but women are going through some complicated thing where they get sympathy, flowers, gifts and such.
IronHamster · 56-60, M
@FloorGenAdm Lol. And, when a woman cheats the man gets the blame for being cold or whatever. When a man cheats even if the woman has refused intimacy for years the man always gets blamed.

I don't have kids but I would never date a guy who had kids that were still living at home.

I don't know how much of an issue this actually is in real life, but I hear people online complaining that women will demand that a man be at least 6'2" and have abs for days, and then complain when a man has a weight requirement.

@LordShadowfire
That's very true! I've also been reading where vegetable oil is being replaced with Palm Oil which looks the same but is highly addictive. They now use Palm oil at McDonalds for example, when cooking hamburgers.

@AthrillatheHunt
don’t worry , our pharma industry will keep you alive w pills . Keep you consuming. It’s all by design
And remember, kiddies, it's much more profitable to treat a disease than cure it. That's why there's no cure for diabetes yet.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@LordShadowfire you get it. Even though our food is making us all type 1 diabetics
your past everything verses his past everything
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@LILY61 the amount of past sexual partners is def a double standard . Most guys don’t mind driving a pre owned car , but no man wants a beater w 200k miles

Body count.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@Sweet00Lullaby I don't even care for the phrasing they use. Body count makes it sound like you're committing crimes.

When men talk dirty to women, it is harassment.
When women talk dirty to men, it is $5 a minute.
