Are women expecting men to pay for the first date and/or arrange an expensive first date basically acting like escorts?

If a woman requires any man she agrees to date to pay the full cost of a first date if its more than a simple low cost coffee date or walk in the park or on a beach (and particularly if she demands a fancy expensive first date) is she then basically acting like a sexworker after money to support her lifestyle not someone actually seeking a mutually beneficial relationship with someone?
