I've dated a lot of friendzoned guys. I like the nice ones, a little shy, nerdy, whatever. They have their own plethora of issues and insecurities that so far have been too insulting and damaging to overlook.

@beermeplease agreed. lots of relationships are fraught with problems and issues but the couples work them out. It's the ones that go bad irrepairably (as my two did) that set the framework for the standards and boundaries we set for ourselves based on our life experience.
