My wife cheated on me when we were dating in college. I suspected it, but did not know for sure until after we married and she told me all about it. We did not end it, and it is good that we stuck together. She never cheated again.

@exexec besides making that joke I really am sorry that happened even if you only really found out later I'm sure it still hurt. someone else here said "Cheating hurts because it breaks trust, not just rules." and that really is true, but I am glad to hear that what you had was strong enough to withstand

@exexec oof I really wouldn't be a big fan of any of that myself. I'd prefer and have preferred isolation compared to that. Too many people require like being mindful around and being careful around like dealing with them or being in a relationship with them is like a game and I just can't do it myself, also I hate losing and like modding which is why I prefer pc gaming and single player games at that lol, but that's not really possible from life obviously. All I mean anyway is I hate that for you or for anyone. I just want to be around someone I can let my guard down around and I think everyone deserves that. too many people are playing an angle in life, maybe bc they're actually striving to live to the max though and I'm pretty ok with something more lowkey
