Is dating even realistically possible with all the toxicity going on?

Sure seems like even trying is no longer worth it so I'm probably making the right decision to just let it go and focus on making my life better without any need or want or desire for romance, sex, intimacy, partnership, etc.

It's not a 'pill' thing - just realism.

Dating is just dating but people use it as a term for a light romance. Either way you’re older now and you should be over that attitude. You seem pretty weird to me.

@Gingerbreadspice I'm resigned to the fact that at mid-50's I just can't do it anymore because there are too many hurdles, expectations and 'requirements' to meet before a woman in my age range will consider a single man who's legit with a job and family but doesn't have money to spend on frivalous dating/courting type stuff while paying off a house.

@zonavar68 what about a younger girl lol

@Muffintopgina How young do you suggest? 8-) Women in 20's and 30's generally don't want a hard working single dad with a shiftwork job as it translates to having no money or time to 'invest' into dating.

@Muffintopgina Unfortunately most women I cross paths with in dating circles are just wanting to get a man's money, property, and other financial resources and aren't interested in a relationship proper with genuine love, intimacy, respect, care, empathy, sharing life's ups and downs together, shared experiences in general, etc.
