Apparently it's something mostly women do where they keep their boyfriend or girlfriend 'hidden' (ie. pocketed) from friends and family, almost like the person is very insecure about having a romantic partner.

@seaglass didn't think of that but yeah. If a person is embarrassed about what is presumably cheating or taboo sex they probably shouldn't be doing it.
