Have you been stood up on a date?

I was supposed to meet a guy for lunch and drinks but as the time of our meet was nearing he disappeared from the chat. I did not go to the place fortunately - since he stopped responding, I figured he wasn't going to show up.
What are your experiences?

Maybe he correctly figured that you wouldn't show up. Maybe he arrived and waited. Maybe this isn't one of such experiences. Maybe.....

@Waldorf Late night he messaged me and informs me he got stuck with work. He could have informed me that he could not meet me: So if I had gone to the place I would have been waiting there like a fool.

@solitaire Glad you know how justified you were not to have turned up. I hope this doesn't happen to you again. And that it's not a habit of his. If so, he needs to shake it off and spare whoever.
