Why Do Most Women Think, their past (i.e their sexual history) doesn’t/shouldnt matter to the man they are currently Dating?

I'm not a woman - believe it or not - but why should either partner's sexual history be of any relevance whatsoever to their current relationship? This is the 21st Century, isn't it? Women have been enfranchised in the UK for a whole century now.

@ArtieKat dont you think once sex is an big deal in a relationship, some people will feel their partner's sexual history is relevant as it can have an influence on the sexual compatibility?

@SilentObZerver As far as I can judge, the only people who pry into their partner's previous relationships are control~freaks who are extremely insecure in their own skins.

@ArtieKat That has been my observation as well. The clincher is if they refuse to reveal their own history while demanding the partner reveal theirs.

No!
Bcos s/he knows they have nothing to hide...

So why do others feel, it is extremely problematic for their partners to know their sexual past if they really have nothing to hide or aren't proud about it?

My experience is that women, in particular, have no time or inclination to be judged by a 21st century Puritan. Good luck in finding someone unsullied enough to meet your standards.
