I never got a talk on any aspect of myself in relation to guys , dating, or love ...not once. Maybe I would feel a shred of confidence now.😞

No, other than my father telling me to stop dating girls outside our religion, and when I went to live in Africa for a few years, that I’d better not come back with anyone from there. Otherwise, he tried to set me up with a girl whose family was loaded. So, basically useless.

I never gave dating advice to my son as he considers himself an expert.

@LeopoldBloom That makes sense. Jewish can be cultural as well as religious, so that would be a huge divide in dating a non Jewish partner.

@JustGoneNow I guess. I mean, I did date mostly Christian girls in college, including several Mexicans, and several Muslims when I lived in Africa. I'm not sure how marriage would have worked, however. I'm not religious but I wouldn't have wanted my son raised in another religion.
