Never really dated someone I didn't know

I usually have only ever dated people I knew well as a friend or an acquaintance. Not because I am demisexual or anything like that but without this my social anxiety basically causes my brain to lock up and the best pick up line I can muster is something like "you're pretty" like I am some nervous 13 year old....sigh.

I hate dating too. I'd rather get to know someone and see if there's something there.
It doesn't make sense for me to get to know simply of the basis of "nice arse".

@basilfawlty89 I also never understood the bar scene which I am not even sure is still a thing. Always struck me as bizarre to go looking for a meaningful relationship when everyone is shitfaced.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I love going to the pub, but not to pick someone up. I just go to hangout with friends and have some beers and listen to music.

@basilfawlty89 Oh so do I. But I have had friends try and convince me to look for a girlfriend at the pub and that never struck me as a great way to go about it.
