Never really dated someone I didn't know

I usually have only ever dated people I knew well as a friend or an acquaintance. Not because I am demisexual or anything like that but without this my social anxiety basically causes my brain to lock up and the best pick up line I can muster is something like "you're pretty" like I am some nervous 13 year old....sigh.

Will you explain demisexual to me from your point if view. I looked it up but I am still quite confused. I think dating friends is all I have done mostly too. Nowadays you have to be certain. You never know if A person is a secret serial killer so you have to be careful.

@Fungirlmmm Basically from how some friends of mine explained it is they need to build a strong emotional bond with someone before they feel any physical attraction. Basically strangers aren't sexy, people they have a strong connection to are. It is an interesting way to be to my mind.
