Should I be worried that he left his boxers and socks for me to wash for him to collect next weekend?

I wouldn't say it's something that should "worry" you, but I'd definitely consider this a red flag. Especially if there was no prior understanding/agreement between the two of you about who does laundry for whom, and when. Most definitely something you should talk to him about.

No matter what kind of relationship you have, YOU have to define your own boundaries, and demand that people respect those. You may like/love him, but that's no reason to let anyone walk all over you ... EVER.

It depends on who “he is.” Your lover, your son, the plumber?
Carissimi · F
Dating and he’s leaving his laundry for you to wash? Dear Lord, he’s got some nerve. I hope you tell him, you forgot your clothes, and hand them over unwashed. @Mellowgirl

@Carissimi i think he's slyly trying to move in...
But he's going to get a very rude awakening...
I've only just adjusted to having a dog and that was my choice. He's on strict boundaries. What makes him think I have space for him

Stay wise. @Mellowgirl

I don't think leaving dirty underwear is such a good way to impress chicks
Nah he just left them as a test a heart warming gesture to see if you will wear them to see if your interested 🤫 got to say I wouldn't of done such deeds I would of left my wallet (no credit card through) just to see if your a good lass who would go out your way to give it back.....not that I do such things but hey I'm just trying to understand why someone would leave items such as that 😉
Whodunnit · M
A full load of washing, then perhaps worry. A couple of items, nah.
Poppies · 61-69, F
Do you take it as reassurance that he's not going to dump you, or as a threat that you're never getting rid of him,?
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@Poppies I would say I see it as a bit of cheeky behaviour but he wants to come Back?
Gangstress · 41-45, F
Man child springs to mind. Being completely honest
I wouldn't be worried.....

But I definitely would be kinda grossed out if "a dating partner" left previously worn underwear for me "to wash".....

EWW...
do you feel it was intentional? if it was, thats ...weird.
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@nonsensiclesnail he did say he was leaving them but I didn't say a thing.
I'm observing him
@Mellowgirl Did you not ask him why?
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@nonsensiclesnail he said he had errands to run and didn't want to take them as he wasn't going home first.
He didn't drive to mine.
He took the train due to parking problems where I live.
GovanDUNNY · M
He'll be putting a ring on you next
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@GovanDUNNY ha somehow I cant see that happening. It would be nice to think that he's thinking that way and wanting to create a life with me... But I think he has a little growing up to do before that can happen.
WhateverWorks · 36-40
Yes, it’s not cool to expect wife-y-mom sh!t in a situationship. Unless you don't mind being guys’ mothers while you date them, it’s a red flag.
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@WhateverWorks I hear you... He's a bit of a cheeky chap... So I see it as a possible meaning to him wanting to come back again?

I dunno he's sweet he does pay for everything and he's respectful of me most of the time. Although he does say it's 2022 at times when he doesn't want to do something but then he does it anyways...
WhateverWorks · 36-40
I would say it’s the first signs of him testing to see what you’ll tolerate/go along with guised as cheeky behavior. It’s definitely something to monitor. I’d be willing to bet money that you can expect more little tests portrayed as cheeky behavior. Really though the biggest thing to keep an eye on is seeing what his reaction is if you don’t wash the clothes @Mellowgirl
SW-User
Nah I think that’s kinda cute

Seriously he’s trying to tell you sumfin and goofing around 💗

@Stereoguy haha but he didn't leave them clean and I didn't accept his verbal request... Not legally binding.
Lilnonames · F
