What does a 'dating connection' feel like ?

Lots of people want to do the 'lets meet up for a coffee and see if there is a connection'.

I haven't ever really understood that since the two relationships I've had sort of happened and then didn't and I never tried to interpret what it means to 'feel a connection' (ie. how am I supposed to 'feel' and what am I supposed to do?).

Now I am lost at sea so-to-speak with anything relating to dating I just wonder who can explain what a 'connection' is supposed to 'feel' like if the intention is to be finding a potential future romantic partner? Remember I think i'm probably aromantic so that doesn't help if I can't or don't 'switch on' to the mood signals, etc.

Sounds silly but you get the butterflies in your stomach feeling or you just are so intrigued you want to know everything about them

@SW-User That butterfly feeling, you're not wrong. Wowza!!! Been forever since I've felt that.

@Spumoni it's a natural high

@SW-User I suppose you have to able to feel the right triggers and your body needs to understand what 'buttons to push' to make it happen.

For me it's when I just vibe with someone, conversation is engaging and I feel like we are on the same wave length - it's just easy and flows...when the date is done and I feel like I don't want to leave and just want to see them again....that starts the connection for me.

I've never experienced it myself. I guess it's just a mutual interest, common ground, spotting some potential that people can build their emotional attachment on.

If either one or both of you doesn't 'feel it' does that mean you're doing something wrong?
