What do you guys think of this?

The other day i saw a Youtube video about a women who refused to give up her dog. (_ boyfriend doesnt like big dogs so they couldnt live together) and everyone was saying how selfish she was and that she is doomed to be single forever. It seems like if a women isnt willing to give up all of her friends, family, pets, career, and children people are quick to call her shallow or cat lady. The only things on this list that im okay with a women giving up is her friends. Everything else seems stupid and boderline abusive.

This is why im not intersted in dating anymore. Men aren't expected to give up anything for a women.

Yours seem to be an ill formulated dilemma in more than one dimmension.

Not women and neither men are supposed or should "give up" friends (family, pets, career, and children) to be in a relationship.
There might be some extreme exceptions when some specific "friend" become an enemy of the couple as such cos his / her incompatible behaviour about (orbiters and such fauna).
But is not ussually the case and shouldn´t be an excuse to isolate a partner from their social world.

The second bias here is that men are not expected to make some adjustments for the sake of the relationship. They are as much as women. Or it would be wrong, a double standard.

And for both said mature adjustments are not the ones in your list.

The only one I find good is to drop some aspects of our single lifestyle if they collide with (an example) an enthusiasticaly ageeded romantic / sexual exclusivity.
Perhaps also our list of priorities on spending our time to invest it together.
What, if things are well done, don´t necessarily mean less time with friends.

The logical way to see this is neither one was willing to change to make this relationship work. The guy is just as much at fault as the woman. The dog is just the symptom of failure to compromise. Later on it would be the car, the house, the job or whatever.

you certainly have never been in a relationship with a woman if you honestly believe that

@Torsten Well i am a women lol

@Thetinydog lol i get that but the point is women from my experience always try and make men give up a lot. I think men do that to women also btw. It is not some one way thing against women though because women are just as bad with this

Good for her, the dog was there first. I would never ask someone I supposedly love to give up something they love.

I like her already 🥰

Why on earth should she give up her friends???

Sometimes I wonder if generations of activism for women's rights and equality have come to nothing 😢

@ServantOfTheGoddess Friends can sometimes turn against you. They might try to screw your partnter or somethimg like that
ServantOfTheGoddess · 61-69, M
@Thetinydog Those would not be worthwhile friends.

I am kind of with you a little bit I can see where you're coming from, but I am not going to make extreme life changes because that woman picked the wrong boy. If I care about a woman or person [big].[/big] I accept them, dogs, cats, frogs toads hammer head sharks well maybe not sharks but you know what I'm getting at.
