@Montanaman I'm not really someone that has good come backs never been my thing maybe it's an only child thing.
Either way, I just told him no, it's OK thanks!
He knows where it's at...

😬 A girl wanted to go hiking and have a picnic with me once and I said I'll bring Bourbon, honey, and wheat bread. 🤦🏼She thought I was joking.
Good thing she also brought some real food.

@Lostpoet perhaps...
But you also have to consider the other person's needs when in a relationship.
That's a big no no for me, if the person slips up consistently

@Mellowgirl I like to think that I'm a lot more mature now.
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@Lostpoet I hope so.
Because I've been dating men ranging between 35-39 and they're still just as immature.
They're just more crafty with their deception.
I don't get why deception is the theme these days.
But it's tiring and really quite pathetic.

He probably couldn't cook.
4meAndyou · F
@Mellowgirl Sounds like forget him. You don't need some bossy male chauvinist pig in your life.
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@4meAndyou I think he'd prefer to say that it's his sense of humor
4meAndyou · F
@Mellowgirl Yeah..sense of humor...right...🤣🤣🤣
SoLeRiMix · 31-35, M
Well, just tell him that such jokes annoy you rather hurt your feelings. He shouldn't repeat it then.🙂

@SoLeRiMix he knows check my response to bijouxbroussard

Ooo… or they do it as poorly and carelessly as possible. So you won’t ask them again!
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@TwiddlerofThumbs precisely...
It's insulting and I don't have the time for these childish games. I'm not his mum.
He was the one telling me he had a cooking business with his friend. So I know he can cook.
It's one day a week. Since we're taking it in turns.
I can see how things are going to be and I'm not interested in it.

Yeah, if it’s something they don’t do, and it’s important to me, I’d rather them say they don’t, and then decide how important it is to me. When he made the comment about beans on toast, did you ask him, “Cool, when ?" 😄
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@bijouxbroussard no I didn't because it's irritating to me. He does this with a lot of other things and there's been times where I'm not sure if I did or didn't do something.
Example he went to put our food away and discovered they were still too hot to go in the fridge. He said he'd check later. He asked about tupperware boxed his and left mine on the side.
Another time I can't remember if I put the ice cream back in the fridge or not. But I think I did. Because I remember telling him that it was in the 3rd draw of the freezer. When I woke in the morning he left it sitting on the surface.
Defrosted.
When he doesn't want to do something he just leaves it.
I don't like that selfish behaviour.
We're a team or it's not happening.

@Mellowgirl Yes, that would be several examples that he doesn’t consider anyone’s needs but his own. You’re well rid of him. 🙁
@Mellowgirl
My spouse does that (Often). Not intentionally I'm sure, but she doesn't put something in the fridge because "it is still warm" and then forgets/falls asleep. So I have become accustomed to checking the kitchen every night just before locking up the place after I take the dog out one finally time.

SW-User
You could always teach him a trick or two in the kitchen at least the guy offered to cook full stop 🎆
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@SW-User he's taking the piss.
He only offered so that he can get to come round.
I'm done with the foolishness.

Ida brought him beans on toast and then went out to eat alone 😋
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@Lilnonames spend my money on him... I think not!
