Why do most tall girls/women complain about not having a boyfriend? Why not just date short guys?!

Why don’t they just give short boys/men a chance?! They’re too busy trying to look for tall men that mostly prefer short women. I mean Don’t be so shallow! Why do they think they get rejected so much? Because they refuse to date someone shorter than them. They could miss out on a great guy!
I know a girl in college and she’s about 6ft tall. She hasn’t had any luck on dates. She’s been turned down because of her being tall.
She said every guy that’s hit on her or interested in her are her height or shorter than her. Her two exes were shorter than her. She said she envies my height because petite women get the cute tall men. We’ll height doesn’t even matter even if we have preferences.

Whenever I hear women criticizing men for being too shallow to date fat women I ask why they don’t want to date short guys. Universally the response is something along the lines of, “That’s different”

It’s not. BTW and FWIW, I’m 6’2”

@redredred Those who make the claim "it's different", to attempt excuse their discrimination, are never able to explain just how it's different. 🤔

@Sharon I read an odd and perhaps questionable explanation for both prejudices. It stems from part of the hind brain. It seems the initial, unconscious impression of a fat woman is she’s already pregnant and the initial, unconscious impression of a short man is he’s underage.

In both cases those initial assessments suggest poor mating prospects. It’s a fun thought and maybe more fanciful than true.

@redredred At least a person has some control over their weight, but not with their height.

@redredred I *heard* men being tall as a preference is just our primitive instinct of wanting a dominant/protector male as a mate which would increase survival chances of the family.
IDK man. Just read in somewhere on an authentic website called SW comment section a few years ago.

@redredred And obesity I think is unappealing because of the constant slimwashing of our brains since we are born. By the television and other media.

As would go for eurocentric features being the standard definition of "conventionally beautiful".

That being said, I think times are changing and a diverse group of features body types and heights are being accepted both in the film industry and in free lance modeling industry.
Which in turn can neutralize the definition of attractive mating features among the newer generations.
