I can say that Narcissism lies on a spectrum and abusers have high levels of it
The way abusers are nice at the start. Idealisation phase

What’s the difference between antisocial and borderline personality disorders ??
JosephtheEmpath · 56-60, M
@2cool4school They are both Cluster B disorders.

@uncalled4 Really this is the perfect place for a narcissist to be. They have such a high opinion of self and want to be admired, they will pretend knowledge to seem smart, They don't even realize they are projecting, the self denial is so strong.

@SW-User My narc actually was educated and intelligent. She was also attractive and that made her dangerous. She felt entitled to call the shots. Problem: I wasn't about to let her, and she'd argue for hours and hours. She had no concept of the futility of constant battle, and in fact, I think she got off on it.
In my layman's opinion, I see more of what I consider to be BPD on here, but I'm sure some might fit the DSM criteria for NPD.

@uncalled4 Wow not fun for you I'm sure.
But I get that, some are quite intelligent and knowledgeable. And known for being charming.
I would say TPD, triple, haha.

Almost definitely. Your emotional response to the things that are going on around you is based on your self-talk. If you have inaccurate self talk, you're going to have inappropriate reactions.
