What is with most guys looking like shit on dating profiles?

I have been on too many dating sites in the past few years and i am noticing a trend. First of all they nearly all have massive facial hair. Not a small mustache or a goatee but a full beard that covers most of their face. And they also dont smile. Lastly they dress like they just got off a days work of lumberjacking. While all women are decked out. Can anyone explain this?

@melissa001 I know what you mean by your post. I promise I do. One of my best friend’s husband had a long scruffy beard and wore clothes like one would wear in a junk yard all the time and most of the time was barefoot. I cringed every time I saw him. Just had a nasty look… but he had the most beautiful eyes…

@NoGamesTolerated well at least you could actually see his eyes. Im quite sure a lot of men are very handsome but if you cant see their face what good is it. And its not like you can just hang out a lot with all of them so you can actually get to know them before you want to date them. Most want more than a friendship.

@NoGamesTolerated the last guy i dated looked like a homeless man, but i got to know him in a casual way and he was so nice. But i couldnt see his face. I asked if hed mind just shaving a bit but he surprised me and shave everything off. And let me tell you he was so handsome i couldnt believe it. And hed been single for a long time. So it didnt take much to look decent. Im glad he cleaned himself up.
