Is dating co-workers still taboo nowadays?

Not a good idea, especially for men. Shouldn't even pursue a female co-worker. I read comments online from one guy who tried to get a co-worker's phone number; he was called into HR, chastised and sent to work in another location. Lucky he didn't get fired altogether. It really depends on the job. If the job is a long term one it’s a bad idea. If it’s a somewhat temporary job say less than 2 years I’d say go for it!
