Is there a good way to break up with someone?

I had a couple of dates with a guy... he's nice & all but I'm not feeling the spark whereas he is... I'm finding him quite childish but initially I thought that was down to nerves but the childishness hasn't faded... I don't want to lead him on but don't want to continue dating him... how do I let him down gently? I don't want to ghost him either, I've been ghosted myself & it isn't nice...

A few things that you said in your post, I think you need to say to him.

I don't want to lead you on. I'm just not feeling a spark. And I am telling you this out of respect because I don't want to ghost you because I've been ghosted myself and it isn't nice.

I know it's not an easy conversation to have, but it is the right one.

Good luck.

@OzDiver gud point, be honest with him!

@BondGirl84 Yes, as difficult as it may be. And you will feel better for having done it that way I'm sure.

And remember that you don't have to do it face-to-face. It can be via a telephone call too.

@OzDiver oh I know... its not easy regardless of doing it face to face or telephone but I know it has to be done..
