Background check?

Where do you go to get a background check on someone you are dating... This is my first relationship in 9 yrs. I feel like he's the one but also feel like he's hiding something...I'm not sure if it's just in my head or just feelings from my last relationship since it ended so badly or if there's some truth to how I feel? I'm a single mom and not sure I'm ready for him to meet my daughter until I figure him out...

You are failing to see the big picture. A relationship can't last unless you are "all in". That goes for both the man and the woman. You are not sure about the relationship. That means there is a 100% chance that the relationship is going to fail.

That's like asking a car owner when was the last time the oil was changed when you already discovered that the transmission has failed. THE ANSWER DOES NOT MATTER

To put it bluntly, this relationship is doomed because of your suspicion. Maybe you are right to be suspicious, and maybe you aren't. But here's the deal...getting him investigated is not going to change your attitude. If the investigation turns up nothing, you will feel a little better...but your heart still won't be in it.

Time to let this one go...
