Do models date only rich people?

Do they need to be always spoiled with gifts, fancy restaurants, shopping, etc. Or can they be normal people too?
I mean I don't know anyone that dates models, so I wonder.

I have a friend who became a famous-ish model. Started dating some chick from the gym she frequented and settled down with her.
Just does drugs all day every day with her now.
