Why do relatives always assume someone is gay because they never dated,don't like anyone at the moment or haven't dated in ages?

They always do that to me every stinking family function.

I understand. I've been single since I was 32. I'm now 48. I admit this is abnormal but it doesn't mean I'm gay either. I told my family I am simply finished with romantic relationships. My older brother still, after 16 yrs, asks when I'm going to bring a girlfriend around to visit.

Just as a matter of interest I also gave up drinking alcohol when I was 23 and my brother still offers me drinks at family functions. Now I just let them think whatever the fuck they want because I'm tired of saying the same things.
