It's not just now years ago when i was dating it was happening then, i actually said to the guy at the time, "Why did you show me a photo that is clearly years old. His response you wouldn't have met me otherwise. 😅
On dating sites, I've encountered LOTS of women who post 20-year-old pics. I've stopped using dating sites. There's so much deception, you can't even tell who you're talking to. It would seem very few, if any, people want to truly relate anymore. It's all about a show - nothing authentic - and looking for people who's demons play well with theirs.
Finding someone who's willing to be vulnerable and show you their true colors, is so rare.
meh...it's easy enough being contemporary about these things still, tho hopefully it'll seem all the more impressive once i jump the age bracket next month eh.
@Kuronekko @pancakeslam Sometimes people do that for privacy though and not wanting to be too recognizable or vulnerable. It can get creepy here when you post your photo and people save them. 😒
