I've never used a dating site personally but before meeting anyone in person I would want to have communicated first via Zoom or WhatsApp - particularly if I was a female.

@ArtieKat need more than just tele-conversations. Sadly, i got to know a guy from Tinder few months back, he made the conversations very comfortable, slowly we moved to Whatsapp. Chatted on Whatsapp for nearly 2 weeks until we decided to meet in person. He was so genuine and caring until he pretended (found out later) to transfer money to one his staffs. Since he couldn't do instant transfer, he asked me to do it on his behalf. He sent me a payment remittance message from bank saying that he had transferred the said amount to my account. So, i confidently transferred money from my bank account to his so-called staff. After waiting and checking with bank several days, seems that he faked the message and did not make any transaction at all. He has disappeared. What a snake!

@lakshsony Anything to do with money is a red flag until you've known somebody very well for a long time.

@ArtieKat learnt my lesson. it was not just made me feel so stupid but also heart breaking. i've always had trust issues and this guy just made it worse. i stopped logging in to Tinder ever since then. small incident but it can affect some of us greatly.
