Question for guys - does Tinder Bumble etc. really work for you ?

I talk to guys at my work who say those sites are bullshit and do nothing for them - never generating any real contacts. Who (apart from making big profits for the site owners) benefits in actual fact?

Outright no. Only two contacts I ever received on Tinder were both fakes trying to extort money. Never any genuine contacts or interest. Bumble never produced anything at all. Note I never paid for subscription services on either of those. I don't know how anyone is supposed to make a genuine connection on sex hookup service.
