Can you recommend some quality, free dating sites?

I am considering online dating again and truthfully am not keen on putting up funds on something that may fail, especially when I am tight on funds. I am interested in particularly dating in my area. I know that's probably asking for too much already, but are there any free, QUALITY dating sites out there you can recommend? Thanks in advance!

However, they have a free 3 month membership... You have to pay $35 up front but can opt out before the 3 months is up

In my experience, those sites concerned me. Especially when a match would say the other person lives less than a mile away. 😕

@nedkelly Oh, I'm not worried about that. That's life. We get hurt in real life. I just want to talk with someone with similar beliefs.
