Boney M, “Rasputin" (1978)

Funny how this song’s been recently rediscovered. Boney M was one of a few German-based disco groups to emerge during the late 70s. The songwriter and founder of the group, Frank Farian, revealed later that the late Bobby Farrell (the dancing frontman) didn’t sing a note but was chosen "for the energy he brought to the live performances".

When this is played at a wedding there is at least a couple of drunk guys who think they are Cossacks. 😅

@chrisCA Omg! Yes I used to work at a hotel doing weddings for 10 years. Invariably some drunken uncle of the bride would start dancing like a cossack for this song!
