Secretariat - Citation - Phar Lap - Ruffian: do you have a favorite thoroughbred from the past?

Ruffian for me... was she a more impressive racehorse than Secretariat?

Very impressive taking on the boys.

Seen her win the BC Classic at Santa Anita.

I'm staying with Seabiscuit for one simple reason, cultural impact and representation of the under dog. He doesn't have the record of the others but he has the one moment in the spotlight that had the whole country talking. An under dog that literally kicked ass on his day to shine.

Btw, he made War Admiral a rear admiral!

😱👀 what are trying to say RinkyDink?

For the record that's one scene the movie got right. He actually did back off to get a look at the Admiral right before he said F U and took off.

You can figure out how to apply that to this convo. 🤣
