I wanna get into horseback riding

My mom was a rider (trick riding, she won trophies) before I was born and when I was a kid, and when I was about five she had to sell all of her horses and she didn't get any more until I was a teenager.

I used to be really afraid of horses because she had a really mean horse named Beau who would always charge at me and try to bite me. But now I really want to experience gentle horse riding. 🐎

Horses are interesting. They are so beautiful, gentle, and fearful.

They are also incredibly strong. I found I had to let go of the fact they could hurt me in order to earn their respect.

They value gentle behaviour and calm atmosphere. When you build trust with them it is beautiful 💙 but it is always a little bit scary, in my experience.

And funnily enough, I used to ride a giant Palomino (16h) who was blind, named Beau. He was scary because you had to build the trust with him.
