What is the point of the German language if world migrants to Europe speak English?

Crazychick · 36-40, F
The Germans have their own native language like other nations do.
It has no point. It's in your way.
That's not genocide because, yup.
German is a better language, duh.

The English language originated from the German language which at the time was called Germanic, which is a branch of the Indo-European language family which includes English but with German roots. In other words, Germanic English is a very old dialect of the German language.

Where Germanic English was originally spoken was in north Germany very near Denmark and The Netherlands. Germanic English then migrated westward toward present-day Great Britain where Germanic English has prevailed ever since those early migrations as present-day Britain was fought over and then settled, then resettled as migrants advanced from Germany.

The English language therefore, is not the language of Colonial Britain, but in fact is the language of north Germany! Colonial British English is therefore a more modern, more cleaned-up dialect of Germanic English which was otherwise considered the language of peasant farmers of north Germany, compared to the more pure, more refined version of German which was otherwise spoken by the more educated ones of central Germany at the time.
