Happy Thanksgiving to all of our Canadian Neighbor's!

In earnest do you have turkey or a goose for dinner?
swirlie · 31-35
@WillaKissing
Unfortunately, Canada Geese are a protected species in Canada which means the bird gestapo will euthanize anyone found eating a Canada Goose for Thanksgiving, which means turkey or ground hog are the only options available.

@swirlie Nice! Thank you, I truly did not know.

Thank you.
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
@WillaKissing Turkey pretty much the same as your Thanksgiving
WillaKissing · 56-60, M
@JimboSaturn You had that Canadian Goose on your first pic placed on the table is what made me ask. I meant no disrespect, i was just curious.

Now let's discuss that large mall formed pumpkin, LOL.

@WillaKissing
Not sure for sure, but I think that's a Canadian Duck you see in that first pic... not a Canada Goose.

Canadian ducks have teeth like an alligator which means the Canadian Duck is a black bear's natural predator in Canada.

@swirlie Good one, you made me laugh out loud for real.
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
@WillaKissing Lol no that's just a knick knack I have all the time.

@JimboSaturn
Thanks for clarifying the status of that bird, Jimbo. I mistakenly made the assumption that it was a trophy bird that you had stuffed by a Taxidermist of which you had acquired from your most recent black bear hunting expedition in the wilds of northern Ontario.

@WillaKissing, please note my previous clerical error re: the status of the duck.
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
@swirlie Na just a wooden craving lol

@WillaKissing i did my turkey beer can style on the fire pit
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
@fortycreek The last couple of turkeys, I injected chicken broth into the breasts. It makes them super juicey. Often I find people's turkeys dry and gross.
fortycreek · M
@JimboSaturn i was worried about it getting dtry but it stayed moist
WillaKissing · 56-60, M
@fortycreek Nice how did it turn out?
WillaKissing · 56-60, M
@JimboSaturn @fortycreek I have heard of both of your ways of cooking a turkey.

How I keep mine moist is just before I seal up the turkey in its baking bag, I add a cup of Ginger Ale, and it always comes out moist.
