To all Americans, I have never met or heard of any Canadian wanting to be American. Trump is beginning a campaign of lies to undermine Canadian sovereignty. We are not the Rhineland or Austria.

@Adogslife For two weeks now he has been calling Canada the 51st state and our Prime Minister its governor. Yesterday he said Canadians want to be American and the US subsidieses us 100,000,000 a year which I think is a typo because he has been saying 100 billion a year previously.
@Musicman He said it directly to Trudeau. You can't blame the "media." Sure, it was meant as a joke. But many of us think it was the kind of joke that is unbecoming of a US President speaking to an ally. Then again, much of the filth spewing out of his mouth is unbecoming of a US President, so what else is new?
