Is 'indian asian' a thing?

@HijabaDabbaDoo That's sort of what I thought. I've always considered Indian to be part of Asia not part of the Middle East. But I'm sure there are plenty of differing views.

@butterflybaby75 not really, it's a pretty wide consensus that Indians are Asians. If you refer to an Asian in the UK people will think you're on about Indians, Pakistani's and Bangladeshi's before they even think of any other type of Asian.

@HijabaDabbaDoo Interesting as here 'asian' has a totally different meaning - chinese, japanese, korean, thai, indonesian even. Indian is by itself in most people's definitions and probably would be clumped with Pakastani, etc.

@butterflybaby75 yeah, when it comes to South Asia the US is like "oh who let the Arabs escape" when they're entirely different cultures lmao
