Vents aren't asking for arguments. And if you get ignored while baiting for conflict or disagreement, that should show the OP has no interest nor use for your clashing views.

Continuing to try and argue is incredibly self-centered arrogant behavior. What you have to say isn't some sort of a hidden wisdom. Again, learn when to tie those lips and when to part them..

I, for one, would like to see humanity progress towards a higher state of enlightenment

Unfortunately, I don’t see that as being too likely with how things stand in this world’s current mood and temperament

I feel sad having to live life knowing that better is possible, yet most out here don’t seem that interested in ascertaining a higher state of existence 🤷🏻

@Ferric67 I won't attempt to cultivate hope because it isn't based on past experiences. It is simply longing to add purpose.

I agree though, most people do not make any honest efforts to improve for whatever reasons they might have.
