Give me a proverb and I will tell you its equivalent in a different language or culture

" arab proverb الركلة القوية دايما تجيك من الحمار لي دلعته"

"The strongest kick comes from the donkey you spoiled the most."

It is the same as "no good deed goes unpunished "

Bee, do not sting me, or give me honey.
Live and let live?? Idk it is the closest I could think of 🤷‍♀️

A pot that found its lid
"two peas in a pod"
Birds of a feather flock together

While the cat is away, the mice will play.

I think I've heard this proverb said exactly in the same wording in English, but not sure 🥔🤔

The day (light) has two eyes
What's done in the dark always comes to the light

@BittersweetPotato I know you said you will find the proverb, but I figured I will save you the efforts, beautiful *pervy look* 🥔😏
@BittersweetPotato the cat and mice one is slightly more detailed in Dutch: while the cat is away from home, the mice dance on the table.

@BittersweetPotato Here it's "Tomcat isn't at home, mice are having a ball (dancing event)"
