Where I came from, we never needed that line.
In my world, we were all farm kids on the rural road I lived on. In Winter, we guys would hike way down in to the woods and find a place among the trees, then kick the deep snow back with our boots, then going out in among the trees, find dead wood that burned well, bringing it back and stacking it on top of the snow.
Our friends would follow our tracks down in to the woods where, we would have the fire going. Everyone brought a rack of beer which a snowbank kept cold. We'd all stand there under the pine bows talking with each other, but able to look up into the heavens and see the bright diamonds in the night sky. It was the best......
Everyone was cool, welcomed and, quite frankly, there's nothing like a pretty farm girl in block plaid, jeans, and snow boots....I'll take that every day.
