In Arabic we don’t say “goodnight “

Instead we say :
تصبح على خير
Which means “May you wake up to good things/news”
Or “May you wake up with goodness/ to all that’s good”
And the other person would reply with:
وانت من اهله
Which means : and you are of the good people

This is true.

We also say (though less commonly and more formally) [b]ليلة سعيدة[/b] which translates to [b]happy night[/b].
