Are racism and hate speech permitted on Similar Worlds?

A post was recently made referring to Russians as "barbarians," adding that Russian tennis players who are playing at Wimbledon are "contaminating" it. These players are all neutral, and most of them live outside of Russia. Some of them have dual citizenships and live in Kazakhstan, Spain, Italy, USA and other countries, but the user responsible for this hatred and racism still objects to them playing at Wimbledon.

This has led me to question whether racism and hate speech are permitted on this website? Is it acceptable or encouraged to say vile things about a nationality or ethnic group? Or is it only acceptable or encouraged when the nationality or ethnic group is Russian?

Russians, of course, are no "barbarians". Who could possibly insult innocent Russians in such an outrageous way??

@helenS I love what they've done with the place. 😃👍
@helenS Next, Google images of Japan and Berlin in 1945, perpetrated by the "good guys".

@NoThanksLeon Who was the aggressor in WWII again?

@NoThanksLeon
Just how much crack do you smoke?

@helenS Are Russian tennis players responsible for this? If you came from a country engaged in war, would you like to be held accountable for the actions of its leader and military? Why do you advocate, along with your equally racist friend who is responsible for one of the most vile posts to appear on this site, banning neutral sports people from sports tournaments? They live in other countries and have declared no support for the war.

@NoThanksLeon Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan were evil countries that got what was coming to them. Excuse me If I don’t shed any tears over the way WW2 ended for them.
emiliya · 22-25, F
@QueenOfZaun If you shed no tears for the many innocent men, women, and children who were killed in Japan and Germany, you are heartless.
QueenOfZaun · 26-30, F
@emiliya Oh please, spare me your overly emotional nonsense. Of course innocent people getting killed is awful and a horrible cost of war.

Hitler and Hirohito ultimately made the decisions that got their people killed. Nazi Germany actively engaged in genocide and started the deadliest conflict in human history. As for Imperial Japan? Look up Unit 731.
emiliya · 22-25, F
@QueenOfZaun Most Germans had no involvement in the Holocaust. They did not "actively engage" as they were passive, unknowing, or incapable of stopping it. What do you expect people to do when their government is committing mass slaughter, and they have no knowledge of it?

USA nuked Japan, and the reason was not solely to put an end to the war. They were trying to experiment with their newly developed nuclear weapons, and cement their power on the world stage. Do not be so foolish as to believe it was about saving lives or ending their war with Japan. Japan attempted to surrender subject to conditions, yet this was ignored by the USA as they continued in their quest to nuke the place. Apparently, not having an unconditional surrender is a good reason to nuke entire cities and vaporize masses of innocents.
helenS · 36-40, F
@emiliya Sure, most Germans were as innocent as our Russian boys today!

QueenOfZaun · 26-30, F
@helenS Ah yes, the innocent and totally not racist or genocidal German citizens.

@emiliya Which troll factory in St Petersburg produced you? 🤔🤷‍♀️
emiliya · 22-25, F
@ArtieKat What are you talking about?

Do you agree with calling neutral athletes "barbarians" for being born in Russia?

@emiliya
What are you talking about?
You know very well what I'm implying. End of story.
emiliya · 22-25, F
@ArtieKat Why do you assume that?

You asked: "Which troll factory in St Petersburg produced you?"

What was the purpose of this question, and why have you overlooked the contents of this post and the hatred and racism that prompted me to make it?

For your information, my paternal grandfather was born in Russia and my maternal grandmother in Odessa.
@helenS The Putin government and some corrupt soldiers are responsible for that, not all Russians.
Are we really judging millions of Russians based on the actions of a few thousand people?

Sure, most Germans were as innocent as our Russian boys today!

The Nazis never won a democratic election. And the vast majority of Germans didn't know about the Holocaust.
emiliya · 22-25, F
@ArtieKat Is this relevant to what you said?

@BohemianBabe
And the vast majority of Germans didn't know about the Holocaust.
Oh yeah sure they did not know anything. For some obscure reason, Jewish families mysteriously disappeared everywhere, never to be seen again. But hey, that was always a great occasion to rent a decent apartment. It was really a bargain. The Führer cared for his Aryan people.

@helenS First, by that point the Nazis had already taken over, so there wasn't much that the average person could do. Like I said, the Nazis never had majority support. Same goes for the Stalinists.

Secondly, it was widely know that the Nazis were putting various populations into the camps. It wasn't known that the Nazis were murdering people in there. In Heinrich Himmler's secret Posen speeches, he even said that they weren't going to publicly talk about killing Jews, and they never did.
emiliya · 22-25, F
@helenS How would Germans know about Jewish families from Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, Hungary, Poland, Ukraine, Lithuania, Belarus, Russia, Latvia, and others? How does a family living in Bavaria know about Auschwitz, all the way in Poland? Should the Polish villagers be held accountable because they did nothing about the camps scattered across their country? Should we hold Ukraine accountable for doing nothing, in fact participating, in the Nazi genocide? They are more culpable than most Germans. All over Eastern Europe, Jews were shot en masse and buried in large pits. People living in these communities sometimes helped, and they almost certainly knew.

In Germany, they saw nothing. All they knew was that there were discriminatory practices that they had no part in implementing. The Nazi Party did not win a democratic election and if you attempted dissent, you were severely punished. This includes being shot.

Do you believe that Hitler was a dictator? If you believe this, you must acknowledge that ordinary Germans had little to no power. Was it a dictatorship or not?
