I mean, race does determine a few things about people. My race tells me where my ancestors came from, possibly what diseases I might be more susceptible to, and whether or not I'll sunburn easily. But race doesn't determine how smart a person is or how smart they can become. It doesn't enhance or deter a person physically. It doesn't determine their interests or personality. When it comes down to it, I think people place waaaay too much emphasis on race. My skin color is just as trivial as my hair and eye color, and if more people saw it that way (throughout history and today), I think the world would have much fewer problems.
