People who are still so openly racist... 🤦‍♀

To be that racist in 2025, it has to be pretty exhausting. Like, you really have to go out of your way to be so bigoted nowadays. Imagine if they put even half of that energy into being a decent person. At the very least, keeping to themselves. They'd probably find that life is so much easier and they'd, in turn, be a lot happier for it.

Yeah, you'd think that.

However, the line as to what is considered "racist" has moved considerably to minor prejudices and impoliteness instead of actual overt racist acts and attitudes.

In addition, there are weird and contradictory rules as to what is considered racist.

Example: I've had people on here INSIST that "Karen" is not a racist trope. It clearly is, in the same way an "Omarosa" or a "Tiger Mom" is a racist trope.

@SumKindaMunster I don’t really care about how others define racism, I’m talking about the textbook definition here. Being unequivocally racist.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Ducky Such as? What were you picturing in your mind's eye when you made this post?
Ducky · 31-35, F
@SumKindaMunster Seriously? I just told you: the literary definition of racism - discrimination against people of a particular race or ethnic group. Given that definition, the only one that matters as far as I'm concerned, is there any disagreement with what I said in this post?
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Ducky I'm asking questions to try and determine what you are imagining when you made this post.

It looks like what you imagined was being an uptight, petty, difficult crank who is just posting to be disagreeable.
Ducky · 31-35, F
@SumKindaMunster There was nothing I said here that even remotely hinted at some other definition of racism that doesn't actually apply. You've just been informed on what I was referring to: the literary definition of racism. Given that, do you have a problem with anything I said in this post? It's a yes or no question.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Ducky Your question is fine, albeit boring.

I was interested in what kind of person you were imagining, but I guess you found that offensive. 🤷‍♂

Sorry to have bothered you.
Ducky · 31-35, F
@SumKindaMunster Offensive? And where did I come off like I was offended? 😂 Never mind, don't answer that. If anything, it was a little ridiculous how much you were beating around the bush to address what exactly I'm talking about here. Again, nothing I said suggested anything other than racism. But whatever. You people can be so dense.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Ducky Whatever yourself. I know you're trolling and virtue signalling here. I just thought it would be interesting to get a sense of what you consider a racist in 2025. Apparently that was too much of an ask.
Ducky · 31-35, F
@SumKindaMunster Because anyone who criticizes racism simply has to be trolling or virtue signaling, right? Wow. It's almost like you guys don't like people talking badly about racism.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Ducky Of course, this response contradicts what you just said when you shut down my attempts to discuss it. 😆
Ducky · 31-35, F
@SumKindaMunster I don't see how, but I'm done trying to understand your absurd perspective on things.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Ducky I'm not sure you ever began to try to understand me, but whatever.

I release you. 😆
