John Adams gets all the respect from me. One of the founding fathers of the US, yet he refused to own slaves. I can’t imagine the shit he got for it back then from his cohorts, but he stood by his morals and said “No, this is wrong.” Long before slavery was even considered immoral in the US. Good for him.
